Arnaud’s, founded in 1918, is a family-operated traditional Creole Restaurant. Arnaud’s seeks an experienced, motivated and passionateAssistant Sommelier/Floor Manager. This is a hybrid position. The Assistant Sommelier+ Dining Room Manager supports the Wine Director in all aspects of wine service, including inventory management and guest interaction. It is expected that this position will also work as a Dining Room Floor Manager. Key Responsibilities: Wine service Assist with wine service during all shifts Ensure proper wine presentation, including decanting and glassware selection Inventory Management Assist with organizing and stocking wine deliveries Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies Wine List Maintenance Assist with printing and distributing updated wine lists Collaborate with Wine Director and Sales Managers on seasonal and event selections Education and Training Participate in ongoing wine education and training sessions Assist in training staff on wine related topics. Dining Room Floor Management Supervising staff(bar, waitstaff and host teams), reservations and guest accommodations. Ensuring superior customer service is executed by all employees to all guests During service, maintain consistent presence on the floor at all times, greeting and seating guests, monitoring flow of service, assisting with wine recommendations and service, and ensuring positive guest experience. Qualifications: CMS Certified Sommelier. Previous experience in a wine-focused role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and wine service techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Strong ability to multitask.
